Advanced ECG interpretation for EM providers at the EM Cases Summit Pre-conference course (www.emcasessummit.com) What to expect before the course begins: When you sign up for this course, you will receive the HEARTS handbook 1-week prior to the start of the course. This book will cover the fundamentals of an ECG and explain the HEARTS approach in detail. You will also receive a pre and post self-assessments to test your own knowledge. What to expect in the course: In the first session you will learn common pitfalls in false positive STEMI and false negative STEMI, along with evidence based advances to identify Occlusion MI. In the second session you will practice on multiple real cases, applying the HEARTS approach and evidence based advances to identify Occlusion MI and other high yield ECGs. Overarching goals of the course include: 1. Physiologic and pathophysiologic correlates to ECG findings; 2. HEARTS approach to ECG interpretation; and 3. Learn evidence-based advances for Occlusion MI; and 4. HEARTS application in spotting an occlusion myocardial infarction WHERE: virtual, on zoom WHEN: December 11th, 2024, 1000 – 1600 ET Intended Audience: practicing EM clinicians, senior residents, or anyone who took HEARTS Resident or EMS and wants to expand on their knowledge.
