HEARTS Advanced EM – ECG interpretation for Occlusion MI

Advanced ECG interpretation for EM providers What to expect before the course begins: When you sign up for this course, you will receive the HEARTS handbook 1-week prior to the start of the course. This book will cover the fundamentals of an ECG and explain the HEARTS approach in detail. You will also receive a pre and post self-assessments to test your own knowledge. What to expect in the course: In the first session you will learn common pitfalls in false positive STEMI and false negative STEMI, along with evidence based advances to identify Occlusion MI. In the second session you will practice on multiple real cases, applying the HEARTS approach and evidence based advances to identify Occlusion MI and other high yield ECGs. Overarching goals of the course include: 1. Physiologic and pathophysiologic correlates to ECG findings; 2. HEARTS approach to ECG interpretation; and 3. Learn evidence-based advances for Occlusion MI; and 4. HEARTS application in spotting an occlusion myocardial infarction WHERE: the course will be provided on ZOOM. We offer in-person courses for groups of people upon request. WHEN: June 23, 2024 @ 1200 EST (2.5 hours) and June 30 @ 1200 EST (2.5 hours) Intended Audience: practicing EM clinicians, senior residents, or anyone who took HEARTS Resident or EMS and wants to expand on their knowledge. Refund Policy: A 100% refund will be issued if cancellation is done more than 30 days prior to the start of the course; a 50% refund between 15-30 days; and no refund will be issued if 14 days or less notice is given.
