Introduction to ECG interpretation What to expect before the course begins: When you sign up for this course, you will receive the HEARTS handbook 1-week prior to the start of the course. This book will cover the fundamentals of an ECG and explain the HEARTS approach to ECG interpretation in detail. The book will also showcase examples of normal and abnormal ECG findings and explain how these are correlated with human physiology. What to expect in the course: This course will be split into TWO 2.5-hour sessions. This course will cover the fundamentals of an ECG. In the first session, you will learn the HEARTS approach and understand how the approach can be used for physiologic and pathophysiologic correlation. In the second session, we will iteratively go through each step of the HEARTS approach using real life ECG case examples. Overarching goals of the course include: 1. Lead placement; 2. Physiologic correlates with ECG markers; 3. HEARTS approach the the ECG; and 4. Pathophysiological correlated with ECG findings. WHERE: the course will be provided on ZOOM. We offer in-person courses for groups of people upon request. WHEN: August 7th at 1900 EST (2.5 hours) and August 14th at 1900 EST (2.5 hours) Intended Audience: Medical students, nursing students, Emergency Medical Services students, allied health staff, or anyone who wants a refresher on ECG fundamentals. Refund Policy: A 100% refund will be issued if cancellation is done more than 30 days prior to the start of the course; a 50% refund between 15-30 days; and no refund will be issued if 14 days or less notice is given.
